Dr. Steve Sallen
Dr. Sallen was one of the lucky ones who knew at age seven that he wanted to be a veterinarian. It was due to a helpless feeling when a family cat died of feline distemper. Dr Sallen grew up in Lakewood, Colorado and is a graduate of Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He came to California for the climate, as he had frozen too many times in Colorado. He Settled in the Crescenta Valley for it's beauty and smaller town feel. He opened Rosemont Pet Hospital in 1981 to provide the community with high quality individualized patient care. He has a: wife, Donna-sometimes helper at Rosemont, 2 sons Loren 16 and Dustin 11. Family member pets are: Jacqueline Onassis-a Jack Russell terrier, 4 cats-Tiger, Felix, Mr. T, Sushi, and a very friendly paint horse named Sonny. Dr. Sallen believes that one of life's biggest rewards is seeing a very sick patient go home to be with his/her family once again. |
